How Philanthropy Age amplifies the impact of giving in the Middle East and beyond
We are proud to publish Philanthropy Age, an online platform that aims to elevate the conversation around giving in the Middle East.
Since its inception in 2013, Philanthropy Age has become the leading source of philanthropic news, views, interviews and analysis for the Arab region. Written for and about the region’s most prominent philanthropists, non-profits, donor collaboratives and social enterprises, the publication inspires readers to give with maximum impact.
The magazine is part-funded by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, as part of our long-running professional relationship. In its first decade, we’ve delved into data to track emerging philanthropic trends in the MENA region, interviewed a broad array of inspiring figures – from tycoons to refugee athletes to NGO CEOs – and built a community platform dedicated to strengthening the impact and effectiveness of philanthropy in the Middle East and beyond.
In 2021, we added a podcast, The Impact Room, hosted by international development expert Maysa Jalbout. Its recent guests include Wanjira Mathai of the World Resources Institute, celebrated conservationist Dr Jane Goodall and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi.
Our Middle Eastern work helps to inform our collaborations with philanthropic organisations based in Europe, where we partner with some of the leading foundations on the continent to provide strategic, design, editorial and event support services. Read more about our philanthropy work here.
